Bernhard Büdenbender

Born 1959, first met the blues in the early `70`s, at first through rhythm`n blues and rock`n roll as played by the Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, which gave rise to the desire to explore these artists` musical origins. These became apparent in the form of a TV appearance by the Muddy Waters Band which kindled interest in the `50`s blues of Elmore James and also B. B. King.

In the `80`s it was the turn of the British bluesmen – Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher and Nine Below Zero and, soon after, the Texan Stevie Ray Vaughn, who, together with Eric Clapton, has had the strongest stylistic influence.
